Winter Shoes In Summer

I picked up these vintage Dr Marten shoes on ebay a few weeks back for under £10. Perfectly worn up but in near perfect condition inside, the perfect combination I think! I've worn Dr Martens boots for a few years now but I've never really been happy about the way they look on me, too chunky/massive looking? So as a happy in between I thought a pair of the classic "postman" shoes may suit me more. Turns out I was right, I'm so chuffed with these and wasn't expecting to be wearing them till the colder months. The clouds bring lots of rain this week, so I've been giving them a test drive.

Wearing - Stripey t-shirt, Topman, diy painter's trousers, H&M, yellow socks, Uniqlo, vtg shoes, Dr Martens.

I think I should stop trying to look cool and just smile, so I'm pulling out a tiny grin.

Tilly, the cheeky little dog. She is really unwell at the moment, which is really sad. So we are spending as much time as we can with her at the moment. She's been a big part of the family for about 11 years, I didn't like dogs before I met Tilly, I am now officially converted.

I made a Mississippi Mud Pie for Hollie's birthday, which was yesterday, I will post some pictures of the it soon. It was my first attempt at baking a cake! Have a nice weekend everyone.

  14. i am yet to find my doc martens. i'm still looking for the right pair. like you, i don't want my shoes to be chunky especially because i am short in stature. i like your subtle play in colors here. your pants are working well with those socks and shoes. and tilly is so cute. i want a dog too but a big one like a husky.
and btw, i notice you seem to have a very laid back life. haha!!

  36. Firstly, hope your girly had a nice birthday! What did you get her in the end? (not that cake-baking isn't a wonderful feat in itself!) I know what you mean about docs, makes me feel quite clownish, even if they are 'cool.' Though remember, it's not simple being cool, but it's cool being simple. These are a great compromise, and I hope Tilly gets better! :( ♥ Claire @ Jazzpad

They look great! Nice combination with the socks too chap.

I had a pair of these when I was younger, I wonder if they're stuffed in a cupboard at my parents house?

Think I'll have to have a rummage next time I'm back up north...

  38. They look great. I always had the problem of thinking my dr martens looked too chunky when I first bought them but you'll get used to it.

Going through divorce with the partner you love is like been in hell, my husband filed for a divorce without giving me reasons.. I was totally down for I had no idea of what was happening and I tried to confront him to know what led to such action but he didn't give me listening ears. I tried getting to know what happened through his family members but that didn't work either and this time was going mad about everything till I searched for help online and I came across Lord Zakuza contact number +1 (740) 573-9483 and I messaged him to let him know what I was going through and Lord Zakuza encouraged and promised to help me with his powerful spell and within 48 hours after contacting Lord Zakuza and followed all his instructions, my attorney called me to get me informed that the divorce case has been cancelled and after 30 minutes, I got a call from my husband pleading and begging for forgiveness and right now we are back together with so much love and care. Thank You Lord Zakuza.
